Lynn Ledbetter - Prep-K Teacher

Lynn Ledbetter

Prep-K Teacher

Lynn Ledbetter serves as one of our Prep-K teachers here at HCS, where she delights in fostering the early development of her young students. “I absolutely love it! I love their enthusiasm, their wonder over the littlest things, and the sincere love they give back,” she shares.

Lynn's teaching journey began with a degree in English and Secondary Education from Anderson University, where she envisioned teaching junior high or high school students. However, after having children of her own, her focus shifted. “I fell in love with teaching at the younger levels,” she explains. For over 20 years, she poured her heart into preschool education, starting at her church and now at HCS.

In her classroom, Lynn strives to ensure every child feels loved and important. “Because they are!” she emphasizes. This commitment aligns with her faith, which she integrates into her teaching daily through worship, Bible lessons, and living out the truth of Psalm 18:30: “As for God, His ways are perfect.”

Lynn values the strong sense of community at HCS, from her students to her colleagues. “I am in awe of the teachers that work around me! They inspire me every day. They all love their kids so much and are so good at what they do,” she says.

Lynn and her husband Rex, who have been married for over 25 years, have a bustling family life with their three daughters—Gracie, Maggie, and Sophie—and their son Hank.

Through her passion for teaching, unwavering faith, and love for her students, Lynn continues to make a lasting impact on the Heritage Christian School community.
