Seth Ambrose
6th Grade Teacher

Seth Ambrose returned to Heritage with a unique perspective as an alum who walked these halls just a few short years ago. Graduating in 2021, Seth has carried his experiences as a student, and the influence of his father (longtime HCS history teacher and baseball coach Dan Ambrose) into his own calling as a 6th grade ELA, social studies, and Bible teacher. After earning his Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Social Studies Education from Bethel University, Seth felt prepared not only academically but also spiritually to step into the classroom.
“I have loved seeing Heritage from the perspective of a student and now as a teacher, and knowing that everyone here wants what is best for the kids, which is to know Jesus,” Seth shares. Returning to Heritage as a teacher also meant joining a community of mentors he once admired as a student. “It's crazy to be co-workers with some of my former teachers!” he laughs.
For Seth, teaching isn’t just about academics, it’s about guiding students in their faith and personal growth. “I love that I can get to know my students and try to be a positive influence in their lives, all while integrating Christ into the conversation.” His vision for the classroom reflects the values modeled by his dad: mentoring, encouragement, and a heart for students. For Seth, every interaction is an opportunity to point students toward Christ, stepping into the legacy his dad has left at Heritage by guiding students with faith, care, and purpose.
Undoubtedly, Seth’s love of sports has also shaped his approach to teaching and connecting with students. Having played baseball at Bethel University, he brings energy, teamwork, and a sense of fun into his classroom. Beyond baseball, he also enjoys basketball, disc golf, football, and exploring national parks with family and friends.
We can’t wait to see how God will use Seth in the lives of his students, carrying on the same faithful example his dad sets for so many.
